Had Bleeding. Had An Abortion. Positive Pregnancy Test. Could I Be Pregnant Again?
I got an abortion nov 1st and i was only like 6 to 7 weeks pregnant today nov 12th I took a pregnancy and it came out positive still, yes I did have unprotected sex not even 3 days later but I was bleeding only a little hear and there so I didn't think I was able to get pregnant during that time. Is it a possibility it came back positive because I had an about two weeks ago on Friday or could I be pregnant again? And again I was only 6-7 weeks so I also am guessing my hormones weren't that high to still detect that pregnancy..! Please help me with answers. Thank you.

The possibility of pregnancy is less in your case.
As you had intercourse 3 days after abortion.
Usually at that time endometrium will not be in a stage to receive the embryo and also ovulation usually won't occur at that time.
Beta hcg levels can be detected in body even 2 weeks after abortion.
Even with 6 to 7 weeks of pregnancy, this can be seen sometimes.
So, you wait for one more week and go for blood test for pregnancy.
This will rule out the possibility of pregnancy.
Possibly next month, you will get your periods.

Hi.This might be due to hormonal levels which would not have subsided or still due to a false pregnancy test.If you are having bleeding even after getting aborted this has be brought to medical supervision because it might require a scan to find out if any conceptus is retained( because abortion is a blind technique and cannot be visualised).Hope this helps.Thanks for writing us on HCM.
