Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
Intake of mifepristone and misoprostol leads to medical termination of pregnancy.
Bleeding in such cases may continue from a week to two to three weeks. The tissue chunks are fetal in origin and signify ongoing process of abortion. Usually after a week or two a repeat ultrasound is done to see if the a portion is complete or if there is any retained product of contraception. Please meet your gynecologist for further advise and follow up.
Regards
