Had Fever After Having Tender Coconut. Given Paracetamol. Why Did This Happen?

From yesterday my 4 yr baby suffering with fever I given her tender coconut after few minutes she vomited, yesterday fever is intermittent today it became continuous and her whole body is hot but feet is at normal temperature why .what I can do to reduce her fever. Presently I am giving paracetamol to her and I am giving cold sponge ,but also her body is heat.can you please help me....

Hi,

Your child is likely to be suffering from viral fever and vomiting is part and parcel of the same illness.
The vomiting after eating the tender coconut was just co-incidental.

For fever you should continue giving her paracetamol 10-15mg/kg/dose every 4-6 hrly and also give her an antiemetic so that vomiting is under control.Thereafter maintain hydration by giving her liquids like juices and light diet .

If her fever does not subside in 3days then get in touch with her doctor.
