Had Flu, Pain In Left Side Under Left Breast. Suggestion?

for two night i had the flu but yesterday i was at work starting hurting in my left side under my left beast this more i got up to go to bathroom i started hurting again it will not stop i am at work now i am going to give it to sat morning if it dont stop then i will go to the hosptial i just had surgery done on me on aug 7 2013 would that had something to do with me hurting like that

Hi and thanks for the query,

It would be better in my opinion to evaluate the flu and pain differently. Absence of cough or generalized chest pain and fever make the correlation of the flu and chest pain very unlikely. It is also important to know if you experienced any recent trauma or not. A physical examination by your doctor and a chest x ray could be enough to exclude any serious lung or chest condition. It is very unlikely in this case to have a serious problem. However, I suggest you consult your primary care doctor. Kind regards.
