Had Food Poisoning, Diarrhea. Have Diabetes. Have Gas And White Feces
I have had food poisoning and had diarrhea since Monday night. i am a diabetic but could not take the metformin while sick. I did not not take any of my medications other than my pain med because my teeth were just adjust which give me back and cranial pain. Now i am eating some, am gasorific but have white feces. I took metformin this morning.
White stool is a serious symptom. Stool gets white, because there is no bile secretion to it. Lack of bile secretion can be caused by bile ducts obstruction due to gallstones. If so, you should have also dark urine, upper right abdominal pain and nausea. So maybe your food poisoning were bile ducts obstruction.
I suggest you to visit your doctor and have abdominal ultrasound, blood work, liver tests and stool test.
Hope this will help. Regards.
