Had Hit Elbow Hard. Bruised And Progressive Pain. What To Do?

I hit the side of my elbow a couple days, ago and didn't think anything of it. It's a common thing to do. But last night it started hurting like I bruised it and then this morning the pain was even worse. As the day has progressed it hurts, when I move my arm or try to pick something up or open something. Any time I try to use it it hurts and the pain is progressing. What should I do?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for posting yourquery.
It could be soft tissue injury or fracture. Without xray it is difficult to differentiate fracture from others. I suggest you to get it evaluated by orthopaedic surgeon. You may get xray of involved area under his/her guidence. Meanwhile avoid putting weight and rest well.
Hope this will helps you.
