Had Hurt My Knee And Cartilage Has Been Loose. Have Moderate Pain. Makes A Popping Sound. Hurts After Soccer. Is This The Cause Of Concern?
I am 16 year old girl who is quite athletic. 7 years a go I hurt my knee by falling on it. Then from that fall my knee cartilage has been loose. Just not until 3 weeks a go my knee has been in moderate pain. It makes a popping noise when I wiggle my cartilage around in my knee. It hurts like crazy after soccer and resting isn t seeming to help. I am not sure what s going on and would like an idea. I went to my doctor and she said it was a growth development issue from soccer, but I think it s more severe than that.
Hi First of all mri knee should be done. Based on mri reports if its minor damage to menisci it may heal and exercise might help. But if the tear is major discectomy should be done. Pooping sounds may be due to some free bony or cartilageous structure hindering knee movements. Plz consult arthroscopic surgeon. Get well soon. Thank you.
