Had Intercourse. Had Bleeding. Delayed Period. Using Yasmin. Switched To Belara. Why Continuous Bleeding Now?

Hi, i am 31 and first time basically using the pill (yasmin), during the end of my first month using it I had intercourse on 11 May after the 21st pill. this day is when i was supposed to get my period (although i know it can delay a few days), however since we didnt have protection and my period didnt come by Monday 13 i took Postinor (1st time) in the night and started bleeding on Wednesday 15, kind of brownish color, which for me is normal during the last days of my period. Then friday the color of the bleeding change to the normal red, and because that was the 8th day after stopping the pills (first month and first time taking pills (yasmin)), i started the pills again with another brand (Belara). The thing is that since then I havent stopped bleeding. This is the 2nd week (31 may) and the amount is less but i am worried of what is going on. I do not have any other symptoms fortunately.
Please let me know why i am still bleeding and what could be the consequences.
Thank you

Hi,
You have disturbed the normal hormonal milieu, firstly with the pills and secondly with the emergency pill. As such, you seem to have developed a metropathic cycle which does not respond to the usual low doses of the hormones in the pills; you would need a higher dose and sometimes injections. You would also need styptics. Please see your consultant immediately and get a complete evaluation and further management. Hope you find this information useful. Good luck.
