Had Macular Degeneration, Lost Central Vision. Diagnoised With Peripapillary Cnvm. Took Avastin Injection. Will It Be Cured?
Sir I had macular degeneration in left eye since 14 years and lost central vision. Presently i was diagnoised with peripapillary cnvm in left eye with my central vision normal. dr gave one avastin injection and 2 more in subsequent months. Will my codition improve by rectifying the distorted vision in one place in the peripheral vision after three complete injections
macular degenerations is a condition in which there is some problem in the form of abnormal vessels in the macular area for central and peri central region..till date we don'nt have specific medicine for its eradication ..we have some medicines -like avestin,, which is generally very useful..but not 100%..because the effect is temporary..therefor we hv to repeat at frequent interwals...and its a costly too.
by god's grace..i hope u should be benefitted..and will be assessed by the doc and by repeating the tests like fluoroscein angiography and OCT..
go for regular follow up as the doc says..
i hope u will be fine soon..
