Had Middle Ear Infection. On Bactrim. What Is The Dosage For Bactrim?
Hi, I had a middle ear infection, and my ENT dr. prescribed me bactrim (sulfamethoxazole/ trimethoprim ) And i took my medicine around 3 o clock today. Is it safe to take it again right now?
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
I have read your query, Bactrim, an antibacterial combination drug, is prescribed for the treatment of certain urinary tract infections, severe middle ear infections, long-lasting or frequently recurring bronchitis in adults that has increased in seriousness, inflammation of the intestine due to a severe bacterial infection, and travelers' diarrhea in adults. The usual adult dosage in the treatment of infection is 1 Bactrim DS (double strength tablet) or 2 Bactrim tablets, every 12 hours for 10 days. Thanks
