Had Nose Bleeds After Meeting With An Accident. Serious?
I have a question...my niece who is 17 got into a car accident yesterday and was t-boned. She did not go to the doctor but she did wake up with a head ache today and at 3PM just texted me and said she just had 2 nose bleeds . Is this something to worry about? she did not hit her head that she knows of but she was shaking so bad after because the car t-boned her and hit behind her driver s door. Please let me know if she should go to the doctor. She has medical coverage and full coverage on the car so money isn t an issue. I am her Aunt and her Mom is at meetings out of town and her Dad is on a jobsite and can t be reached so she is asking me!!
Hi
Bleeding from any source is a sure indication to see the doctor as soon as possible.
And headache with it is a sure sign to seek medical advice
What you see from the nose, is not necessarily from the nose - may be from higher up and nose is the point of exit!
No direct hit / no visible injury does not rule out internal damage.. There are several issues in such situations, your doctor will know - one example is whip lash injury Tell her to see a doctor as soon as possible - if feasible Ear-Nose-Throat specialist AND Neurologist.
Delay may be dangerous.. It is wiser to be safe than sorry
Take care
Good luck
