Had Polyps, Endometriosis Previously. Pelvic Ultrasound Shows Cyst On Left Ovary, Thickening Of Uterus Lining. Next Course Of Action?
I recently had a pelvic ultra sound that found a 1.5cm cyst on my left ovary and the lining of the uterus 9mm thick. I am 53 years old and have not had my period for the last 7 months. I was using estrace vaginal cream, but stopped because I was worried this may be attributing to the thick lining of uterus. I have at polyps in the uterus removed 3 years ago-this sonogram showed no polyps and no fluid. I also have a history of endometriosis . I am worried and wonder what should be my next course of action. I would appreciate your advice. Thank you.
HI Thank for choosing HCM I really appreciate your concern, looking to your age these are the most likely possibilities and this is mostly happening in menopause and that does not cause any harm to your health and nothing to worry about it, unless it manifesting or became symptomatic like severe lower abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding then and then it need to be investigated further, hope this could clear your doubt have nice day.
