Had Positive Pregnancy Test, Periods Irregular, Took Progesterone To Get Period. Ultrasound Shows Problem In Pregnancy. Can I Ask A Doctor Online?
I had a positive pregnancy test 2 weeks ago. My periods are very irregular and sometimes I have to take progesterone to get my period. I had some cramping and spotting last week. They did an ultrasound which they estimated me to be approx. 5 weeks. There was a GS and I believe yolk sac. My hcg levels were 15,000. My progesterone level was 7. I was started on progesterone suppositories. Today my ultrasound should an enlarged yolk sac and the tech said she saw a fetal pole . The doctor said at this point my pregnancy was not normal, but because there had been changes she did not want to terminate it and wanted to wait 2 weeks for another ultrasound. She said I was still at high risk of miscarriage . I thought it was the quality of yolk sac and not the size? And now there s a fetal pole. I m confused why the pregnancy is progressing, and why it s uncertain whether or not it will result in a normal pregnancy or not.
better to wait as she said to you
