Had Protected Sex. Took Ipill. Got Early Period. Chances Of Pregnancy?

I had protected sex with my boyfriend on the 30th of april. After we got rid of the condom after he ejaculated, he nearly entered me. I took an Ipill next morning. I m supposed to be getting my period on the 13th of may. Instead I got it 6 days early. Is it alright to be getting the period early? I ve also heard about vaginal bleeding when one is pregnant . Please help i don t want to be pregnant!

Hello,
I appreciate your query.
Taking Ipill within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse ( as you did in your case ) significantly reduces
your chances of conceiving.
Also, there are high chances of conceiving if the act happened during your ovulatory days ( Day 10 - Day 16 ) of your menstrual cycle.
It is common for the menstrual bleeding pattern to be altered after taking Ipill, as it is hormone containing, which might be the reason for your earlier period.
To be reasonably sure about your pregnancy status, please go for a Urine ( HCG ) pregnancy test after a couple of weeks .
All the best.
