Had Sex, Missing Periods. Am I Pregnant?

Hi Doctor, I have a strange query.

I am 30yrs Female and I am married. I had protected sex with my husband on March 3rd 2013 for the 1st time (he did not ejaculate inside me), immediately after which i started bleeding. though the bleeding reduced, it did not completely vanish until my next normal periods(cycle). Then I had my normal cycle for 6days ie., from March 15 - March 21st 2013, Later this month i.e., April 2013, i still have not got my periods. Its been more than 32days now and still no periods. After March periods, we did not have any sexual activity as my husband is out of station. I am scared now, does that mean i am pregnant? can this happen, is it possible? please help me. i have a medical history of PCOD, but have missed my periods like this till date. please help me

Dear gupta,
Most probably you are not pregnant as you had a period at the 15th of March and no intercourse occurred since then. But because you are scared and to be sure, you should have a quantitative pregnancy test in order to rule out pregnancy.
If the test is negative you may either wait for spontaneous menstruation (you may wait upto 7 days more), or you may visit your doctor to prescribe you a drug to induce menstruation.
I hope this piece of information was useful to you and I am ready for any other questions.
Best luck.
Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
