Had Slight Cough. Taking Pantoprazole Sodium Ec Daily. Can I Quit The Tablet Abruptly?
I have been taking Pantoprazole Sodium Ec 40 mg daily for about 5 years now and am planning on stopping it tomorrow. I have never experienced GERD in my life but my doctor prescribed the Pantoprazole for a slight, nagging cough I had. I no longer have the cough. I have since moved to a different state and that's why I want to get off the Pantoprazole. Just want to make sure it is safe to quit abruptly. Thank you.....

th cough can be due to gerd and if you take ppiagent it controls acid reflux and cough
you can take off quickly and there is no harm if you retart when cough recurs but noally if plce is changed the cough subsides you can try after stopping it
