Had Surgery To Release Ulnar Nerve. Was Told The Nerve Has To Repair Itself. What Are The Chances?

I have just had my second surgery to 'release' the ulnar nerve. I still have numbness in the pinkie and ring finger.

The doctor said he cleaned up scar tissure that was around the nerve in the elbow and now it is up to the NERVE to repair itself??? what are the chances that the nerve will actually REPAIR itself. It is a very panful condition.
