Had Swollen Posterior Cervical Nodes, Thyroid Cysts, Palpable Cervical Chain. What Should I Do?
Hi, I have had swollen posterior cervical nodes for 5 months. Had US which shows 2 thyroid cysts . Blood work is within normal. Now I am noticing the deep cervical chain is palpable on my right side only. I have an appointment with endocrinologist in April but wondering if I should go back to my family md with the new swellings?
I do understand that you have a thyroid cyst and a cervical node. Cervical node can be of so many reasons including infection, inflammation and malignancy. If your thyroid cyst size is more than 1 cm, I would have a FNAC of the cyst and since your nodes has been there for at least 5 months, it is preferable to have a biopsy.
