Had Systemic Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Tethered Spinal Cord, Separated Shoulder. On Morphine. Can Change To Canniblis For Pain Management?

I have been on morphine for several years and I m wondering if I could transition to a drug like canniblis that is a lot easier on the body. I had systemic lupus for 30 years and fibromyalgia and a tethered spinal cord and a separated shoulder. I don t like feeling high, I just need to keep my pain to a 7 on a scale from 1 to 10, higher than that the pain becomes a distraction.

Hi,

I understand that you are worried about the deleterious effects of morphine on your body and want to substitute it with cannabis. But I fear that this will not help you as the analgesic effect of cannabis is far less than that of morphine. With cannabis, in my opinion, you will not be able to keep the pain down to 7 on a scale from 1 to 10 as you are able to do with morphine.

Hope this helps you. Best wishes.
