Hi I just had a total laperscooic hystorectomy with vaginal assist I was told I have vaginal cuff dehercion and now been treated for infection went to er and had ct was told I have a pocket of fluid and now are treating me for bacteria infection with cipro the pain is crazy but they didn't tell what kind of bacteria and they think I have a hole in my bladder Gould I see another dr
Hi, Thanks for the query. After undergoing hysterectomy, sometimes fluid from the granulation tissue at the wounds will accumulate at the vault. And it will get absorbed gradually. Usage of antibiotics will hasten the recovery. Possibility of Vesico-Vaginal fistula is one of the differential diagnoses in these types of conditions and may not be seen in all cases.
