Is It Normal To Have Urinary Incontinence After LAHV Procedure?
Hi, I had a LAHV procedure one week ago. Due to some dysautonomia problems, I was in the hospital for five days. Last night was my first night home and I woke up saturated in urine. Is it normal to have urinary incontinence like this or should I see someone about this? Thanks, Sita
Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have undergone Laproscopic Vaginal Hysterectomy very recently and now getting incontinence of urine. This is uncommon to have incontinence after hysterectomy . Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical and per speculum examination to rule out any injury to bladder during surgery and to rule out Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF).You may need to undergo endoscopic examination of bladder (Cystoscopy) to come to conclusion .
Further treatment will depend upon the final diagnosis. Dr.Patil.
