Had Tubal Ligation. Now Period Is Late, Feel Bloated, Constipated, Breasts Hurt, Headache, Cramping. Pregnancy?
I am 42 years old, and I had a tubal ligation when I was 24 (don't remember what kind, sorry.) My period is late, I feel bloated and constipated, my breasts hurt, I've been having bad headaches, and I have had some slight cramping. Nothing like I get with my period, though. I am a little more moody than usual, and can't eat enough salt or drink enough water. Could I be pregnant?
Hi, Pregnancy is an unlikely possibility and your symptoms are suggestive of progesterone excess. The delay in your period could be due to your age. Anyway, please get a HPT with a fresh early morning sample of urine if you are overdue by at least 3 days or go for the serum beta-hCG titre estimation if you wish to have an earlier and better confirmation. If pregnancy is excluded, you can get a complete hormonal profile and see a specialist for further management. Please maintain a healthy weight and diet.Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
