Had Unprotected Sex. Delayed Period, White Discharge, Bouts Of Stomach Cramps. Could I Be Pregnant?

hii doctor,
i am a 25yr old married female.. my periods have been delayed by a week now.. there is white discharge and several bouts of stomach cramps since 3-4 days... also i feel bloated... i had unprotected sex several times last month taking care that it was during the safe period of my cycle.. can i be pregnant..? we dont want a baby right now as both of us are still studing.. please suggest what should i do..?

Hello,

Unprotected sex is a greater risk of pregnancy if you had miscalculated the safe period. Here, you must undergo one home pregnancy test at the earliest to rule out pregnancy.

Above features are quite common in early pregnancy. PMS, hormonal imbalance and mental stress are the other possible causes.

Following test result, you must consult with gynecologist or healthcare provider for next line management. On positive pregnancy, medical abortion is the best thing at early stage. On negative test, progesterone pill is required to induce period.

Use regular contraception to avoid unwanted pregnancy. Good luck.
