Had Unprotected Sex. Delayed Periods. Pregnancy Tests Negative. Reason?
I stopped taking birth control for about a month now. I have had unprotected sex since then and now my period is late. I have been under a lot of stress recently so it could be due to that but I was also worried I may be pregnant. However I have taken 3 pregnancy tests all of which came back negative. How reassured should I be and should I start back on my birth control as planned even if my period still hasn't come?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The delay in periods could be due to stopping the birth control pills, stress, anxiety or hormonal imbalance. Pregnancy is not likely as repeated pregnancy tests are negative. Wait for your periods and then start with birth control. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
