Had Vaginal Ultrasound, Cystic Structures In Intrauterine Cavity, Positive Pregnancy Test, Abnormal HCG Level. Ectopic Pregnancy?

I had a vaginal ultrasound at the er and I should be about 4 weeks 2days from last menstrual period which for the last 3 months have been about 30 days apart and on the report it says I have 2 small cystic structures within the intrauterine cavity with positive pregnancy test. no significant free fluid. my hcg levels have been 136 512 and 1400 but I have been having some lower abdominal pain and was needing to know if I should go back to the er for possible ectopic pregnancy?

Hi,
Rise in beta hCG levels appears satisfactory, ectopic pregnancy is less likely. But as you are experiencing pain, it might indicate risk of abortion. Kindly consult your gynecologist for increasing progesterone support. Also one repeat scan can rule out ectopic pregnancy.
Wish you good health.
