Haematoma In Lower Calf Muscles, Pain On Running, Unable To Put Pressure On Leg. Treatment?
My son has a haematoma on his lower calf muscle from being kicked in the leg, it measures 11cm x 8cm tonight he was running around with friends and with no further injury to his haematoma the pain became unbearable and he couldn t put any pressure on his leg. Is this normal? What action should be taken to prevent this or to cure it.
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
A hematoma in the leg after an injury can happen due to a minor hairline fracture or a soft tissue injury. Since there is unbearable pain, It is best to get an MRI done for proper diagnosis. A bone injury is a likely possibility.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
