Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello.........
Thanks for your query. Hearing voices that do not exist in reality are characteristic features of psychotic disorders like schizophrenia. I suggest you undergo a thorough psychiatric evaluation at the earliest. Effective antipsychotic medication are available to tackle the disorder. Wish you speedy recovery.

HI taku.

THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION.

YOU HAVE AUDITORY HALLUCINATION THAT MEANS YOU ARE A PATIENT OF SCHIZOPHRENIA BUT YOU SHOULD TELL THAT DO YOU HAVE DELUSION,IRRELEVANT TALK,ABNORMAL BEHAVIOR ETC WHICH ARE PROMINENT FEATURES OF SCHIZOPHRENIA BUT WITH ONLY AUDITORY HALLUCINATION IF IT IS COMMANDING VARITY OR THIRD PERSON AUDITORY HALLUCINATION THAT IS SUFFICIENT FOR DIAGNOSIS OF SCHIZOPHRENIA.YOU SHOULD MENTION YOUR AGE,AGE OF ONSET,NUMBER OF EPISODES,ANY PREVIOUS DRUG TREATMENT AND IF YES THEN WHAT ARE THE DRUG RESPONSES,DO U HAVE FUNCTIONAL,SOCIAL,ECCONOMICAL LOSS FOR THIS DISEASE?ANY FAMILY HISTORY?

PLEASE TELL ALL THE THINGS TO A PSYCHIATRIST AS THEY ARE THE PROGNOSTIC FACTOR OF YOUR TREATMENT.

THANK YOU

The history is too short for us to comment, we need some more information as 1)How long you have this problems 2) Do you have any other medical problems other than this like epilepsy 3) Are you taking any medicines for the same as of now 4) Did you have any history of head injury or any surgical done before. 5) Any illicit drugs like amphetamines, alcoholism, overdosage of drugs The auditory hallucinations that you have are a feature of few illnesses like Alcohol withdrawl, Drug over dosage, Schizoaffective disorder, Dementia or Delirium. Check with the psychiatrist near your area and get the appropriate management as early as possible.
