Hand Therapy Done For Wrist Pain Not Helped. What Could I Expect From MRI?

I have been experiencing wrist pain for about 5 months. I have had three months of hand therapy. My wrist hurts to push on the ulnar side. Also, it seems the bone is sticking out more than it used to. My doctor has finally decided to due an MRI. What should I expect?

Hi and thanks for the query,
An MRI has the ability to see lesions of the target area and nearby structures. It appreciates fractures, lesions of bones, cartilage if the ligaments and tendons. It guves aq good idea of the potential and effective treatment option that could be applied in specific circumstances. A clinical review however still remains very key in the decision making process. Kind regards.
