Hello, Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query. I have gone through your question in detail. I guess what you are having is a contact dermatitis and it occurs due to your contact with some irritant. You might be dealing with the same material for long but companies do change the material occasionally and that is not suiting you. The first step is to prevent any further exposure. Change the work that you are doing. Next step is applying steroid ointment which will reduce the inflammation. The prescription can be taken only from a native doctor. Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you. Welcome and thanks for posting your query to Healthcare Magic.
As per your query you have swollen hand with peeling and pain on bending fingers. As you are working at construction site so it is quite possible that you are exposed to cement. This causes "contact allergic dermatitis". In long run of 17 years the must have got very much damaged and so you are getting all the features enumerated above. For the betterment you need to take proper treatment from dermatologist. Both oral and topical steroids will be need to take care of the problem. In between do warm compresses for multiple times a day and apply any bland moisturizing cream such as liquid paraffin for multiple times a day. You will be alright by proper dermatological care.
Hope these information will help. If you have any further query I will be happy to help.
"With good health wishes"
