Hard Ear Wax In Ears, No Hearing Loss, Unable To Clean Ears. Tried Cerum. Cure?
Please Dr, my daughter is 4 years plus and she has always had and still has hard ear wax that cannot be cleaned. What do I do? She tried CERUM last year August but it didn t bring it out but she hears very well. I m so sorry for asking. I thought it was free, I don t have any form of payment available. My email is YYYY@YYYY incase any ENT feels like answering my question. Thanks.
If any procedure to removed the earwax is attempted first it needs to be moisten repeatedly for a week one practical ear wax thinner you can use is "baby oil" 3 drops on each ear for 10 mins for 5 days, then either you can take her to a local health center for a simple ear wash or you can do it at home with a syringe(without the needle) and wash each ear gently with warm water. Do this only if your child can cooperate with the procedure if she's still to young to remain still you could wait a couple of months id she hears well.
Hi thanks for your question.
Your daughter is having hard wax in ear not relived by cerum. The treatment for this is syrnging which can be done by an ENT specialist and even by general practationer if you don't have access to ENT specialist. There is nothing to worry.
Hope this answers your question.
