Hello,
Thanks for writing your query.

Your dentist and doctor are right, this hard swollen spot you feel on the side of your cheek is because of teeth bite at the same area.
This teeth bite was because of numbness after local anasthesia given for tooth extraction,it is very common among most of the patients,so nothing to get worried,it will be all right after few days, mean while you keep massaging the same, because of you medication it can take little longer to heal.
So nothing to get worried.
Hope this will be helpful.
Take care.

Hello,

Welcome to HCM forum,

I think due to trauma while extraction the swelling has been developed on your cheek...

It will be healed within 3 weeks...

You can apply dologel on that region...

Don't apply direct heat over that area but you can take warm saine rinses 3-4 times/day...

Wish you good health...

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Healing of socket post extraction of wisdom tooth usually takes a period of 2-3 weeks.

I would advice you to take amoxycillin as well as metronidazole tablets.

Avoid anxiety and take rest.

Intake of spicy foods has to be limited.

Gargle frequently with lukewarm saline.

Dressing the socket with betadine as well as ZOE may be helpful.

Hope this helps.

hello
most possible cause of swelling is cheek biting when you were given local anesthesia and you didnt realize that....now for relief you can do following
1.add 5-6 drops of betadine in luke warm water and rinse 6-8 times a day
2.apply hexagel or hiora or any other gum paint after every rinse
although because of your medications it would take time but by doing this the recovery would be faster
hope that helps and you get well soon

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

The hard sot on the cheek is due to biting on the cheek, when you were given local anasthesia.
Dont worry this will take 2-3 weeks to heal.
Apply Dologel oral ointment topically over the affected area.
Dont not apply heat over it, take lukewarm saline rinses.
Avoid eating of hot and spicy foodstuffs.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.

Hope this helps out.
