Has A Plate And Screws In Arm. Done MRI, Bone Scan. Have Pain. Because Of Aggrivation Of Plate?

My son has a plate w/about 28 screws in his left upper arm about 16 yrs. ago. The plate ends just before his elbow and the "matter" is just above that. He has had much pain recently and has had an mri, and a bone scan. results to come. Is there a chance the screws or something is loose, or because of the aggrivation of the plate, it has formed calcification?

Hi, welcome to health care magic forum.
You have got Plates and screws since 16 years, So far you have no pain ,or discomfort .
The pain could be due to the loosening of the screws. the other possibilities are arthritis, sprain etc.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis.
I prescribe to my patients neuro tropic injections for 10 consecutive days. and ofloxacin, and diclofenac sodium.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
