what can we infer if the patient has right sided paralysis but with normal CT scan result? what may be the cause and type of stroke? my mom just got 2nd time stroke, she had diabetes mellitus and hypertension . she s 57 y/o now.
Hi,shen thanks for query. In patient of diabetes and blood pressure in some cases the blood supply to brain is compromised. When ever any part of brain is deprived of blood for long time it leads to stroke,if there is permanent damage to the brain then only this will be visible in CT scan.In some cases temporary blockages is there due to plaques which are formed due to high cholesterol, they blocked the vessel and lead to stroke.bye.
