Hello
Thank you for your query.
I need more details to be able to assist you better.
Please get back with reports of the
ultrasound and exact blood tests so that I can comment better.
Based on the vague description provided, it sounds like the baby is having
IUGR.
IUGR or intra uterine growth restriction is a condition where the babys growth is less than 10th percentile of expected.
It could be due to lots of reasons like abnormalities in the baby itself, defective placenta, maternal diseases like
hypertension, maternal
undernutrition etc.
At this stage, she can improve her diet, protein intake and liquid intake.
Baby has to be monitored carefully with serial ultrasound scans and colour doppler.
I dont see why the baby has to be stillborn, as if the condition is very severe, a preterm delivery can be conducted.
Take care.
