Hi,
sinus infection called sinusitis deserves to be diagnosed accurately. Treatment depends on the intensity of the disease. It could range from drugs, inhalers, antihistamines, steroids , antiti biotics and surgery.
special X rays of the skull might be needed to confirm diagnosis and measure intensity (Hirtz and Blondeau x ray incidences), If there is much pus in the sinuses, a surgical puncture and drainage is usually done, with culture and sensitivity tests done. This permits specific treatment over given period of time.
It would be a nice idea getting consulted by an
ENT specialist for a clear cut diagnosis, and extent of this disease to be known. appropriate drugs in their appropriate doses shall then be prescribed. This prevents the risk of resistance,
poisoning and complications that might arise from automedication with over the counter drugs. Remember that left untreated,
chronic sinusitis could spread to the brain causing cerebral abscesses,
mastoiditis which are more serious and difficult to treat.
Thanks and hope this helps,
Best regards,
