Have Hasimodos Hypothyroidism. Right Side Pain. No Ovarian Cyst. Flakes On Toilet Paper. History Of IBS In Family.

I have hasimodos hypothyroidism. I am 36. I have a family history of digestive issues from IBS to ulcerative colitis. My brother had his colon removed, no cancer. I have been in pain for a little over a month. Right side pain. Ruled out overian cysts. I noticed slimy stool after taking a laxitive. I also noticed flakes on toilet paper seperate from bile movement. Should I see a doctor. My current insurance has me seeing Navy doctors who do not have the best reputation. If I go to a doctor, what do I tell them. It seems you only get treatment if you have a textbook diagnosis.

Hello,
You have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, with a family history of IBS of ulcerative colitis. You are having pain in the right side of abdomen for one month and scan ruled out ovarian cyst. Simultaneously the scan should have eliminated any other diseases in the abdominal cavity. You have slimy stool even after the laxative.
By this time you must have understood that Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is an Auto immune disease. The gut has close connection with the Auto immune diseases. Gut diseases may cause autoimmune diseases and vice versa.
For example leaky stool is the common symptoms of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
The connection between thyroid and Gut is informed, for you to understand that treatment of your gut problem is more important in treating Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
I hope you understand
With good wishes
