I have had Lichen Planus on my body for about 4 years a very good friend of our family is a Dermatologist and diagnosed me. First my husband got Impetigo and I caught that from him by not using gloves while caring for his back plus, washing cloth's together etc The lichen Planus was secondary to the Impetigo but, that was almost four years ago. The rashes on my arms, chest and back have gone away, I now only have it on my shins and upper legs, recently I developed a rash on my right hip from sitting on a leather chair but, that seems to be going away a little at a time. I applied a lot of topical steroids on my body for a long period of time they helped a little but, as soon as I stopped applying them a little while after the LP came back and worse, so, now I don't apply those anymore. I now am applying Pure Refined Emu Oil once a day and Baby Aveeno Every Day Moister Lotion, the Emu Oil seems to be helping by drying up the sores and the lesions and stops the itching My question to you is.Being that I have had LP for so long on my body and applied topical steroids could this have caused stiffness and aches in my joints from always holding back the pain and the itchy feeling for such a long time?
Thank you so much for your answer and I am glad that you are there for every one to E-mail too.
God Bless
Laurie
