Have MRI Report. Can Any Online Doctor Help In Reading It?

My MRI impression states: at L5-S1 there is a diffuse disc bulge and superimposed shallow broad-based disc protrusion with associated with central zone annular tear resulting in slight indention of the thecal sac with mild right side neuroforaminal narrowing. There is no significant central canal stenosis. The remaining levels within the lumbar spine appear normal. What does this mean?

I have read the report of your MRI. There is nothing serious in your report. In non medical language it means, you do not have any serious condition which would require any emergency treatment

You have disc bulge which is compressing the nerves coming out of your spine which is causing backache and pain in your leg. Otherwise your spine is perfectly alright.

If you like me to know about more detail you can read the following paragraph.
The spine is made up of a central cord which is encased in a bony structure called vertebral column. The vertebral column is made up of parts called vertebrae. There are 33 vertebrae in the body all joined to each other at joints. Each joint has a jelly like material between two vertebrae. Basically in your MRI the jelly like material is protruding outside the joint cavity and compressing the nerves coming out the spinal cord. Otherwise, your spinal cord is normal.
You need to consult and neurosurgeon for treatment of the prolapsed disc
