Have MS. Sores On Shoulder, Legs, Headache, stiff Neck. Positive Result For Acinetobacter Baumannii, On Cipro. Contagious?

I have MS and I am in a weakened condition. I have been getting sores on my shoulder and legs and I have had headaches and stiff neck. Recently I came back positive for Acinetobaqcter baunamii/haemolhyicus and have been put on Cipro. Is my family in danger of catching this from me. How serious is this considering my medical background.

Hi There,
Welcome to health care magic.
Acinetobacter is an opportunistic bacteria which usually affects patients whose immunity is low. This bacteria is one of the pathogens in hospital infections. Bacterial infection can spread by direct contact with the sores. I suggest you take precautions regarding this for your family. Please continue your treatment with Cipro and complete the full course of antibiotics. Your medical condition predisposes you to infections. I suggest you take appropriate therapy and healthy diet. Thanks.
