Hello, Dysfunctional uterine bleeding, irregular bleeding , amenorrhea are characteristic feature of PCOS. These large size chunks are actually clotted blood due to irregular bleeding . 2nd reason may be due to fibroid in uterus, diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of uterus. Hormonal imbalance is the next reason of so heavy bleeding, diagnosis can be confirmed by examination of FSH/LH ratio, estrogen androgen level examination. In my opinion consult a gynecologist and get his opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
