Have A Lump On Knee, With Ingrown Hair. What Can I Do About It? Why Does Blood Ooze Out?

Hello, I have a lump on my knee and at first I thought it was an ingrown hair but it feels like a huge knot, and if I press on it puss comes out but it doesn t go away even if I press on it until blood comes out, it s just there bigger the next day. It hurts really bad and I went from having one to now having 4 or 5 of them.

Hello,
Thanks for the query.

You might have developed furuncle.

It is a deep bacterial infections.

Ingrown hair can be one of the cause for this.

Blood oozes out due to presence of infection.

Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.

If possible surgical drainage can also be done.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
