Have A Pale Brown Cluster In The Foot At The Base Of The Toes For A A Few Months. What Should Be Causing This Sudden Appearance?

Within the last 3 months I have noticed a quarter sized cluster of pale brown/light tan 'freckles' on the top of my foot at the base of my toes. The cluster size has not changed. The color has not faded or gotten darker with time.
My foot is not exposed to direct sunlight since it's winter and I'm always wearing socks.
What would cause this sudden appearance?

Hi,

I can understand the concern for pale brown cluster in the foot at the base of the toes for a a few months.

You have not mentioned your age, occupation and any relevant history which could have guided us to the nearest possibility.

I advise you to not pinch or pop the area otherwise these areas are very prone for getting secondary infection. You can apply an steroid cream such as cortisone cream.

You should preferably meet a dermatologist who can examine you physically and provide you the best treatment.

Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem.
