Have A Swelling On The Neck, Dry Throat, Mouth. Have Drooping Eyelid, Needles In Body. Suggestions?
I have a fairly large swelling (I can cup 3 fingers around it) on the rear left of my neck just below the base of my skull along with a very dry mouth and throat. This has gone on for a few weeks now and I have had a number of neurological symptoms such as a drooping left eyelid, pins and needles in various parts of my body, numbness in the head and arms and double vision in both eyes. I am extremely tired through disturbed an/or lack of sleep due to waking with numbness, cramps and pain and have just been prescribed medication to help me sleep.
I had bloods taken last week and am awaiting an ultra sound next week but am starting to get concerned as I feel like I am getting worse. Any thoughts?
Hello, you need to consult an ENT specialist and get examined first , then you may need to get done a CT scan from Base of skull to root of neck SOS IV contrast for--- To see the extent of the swelling To see for any other lesion which has spreaded as swelling behind the ears To see for any swelling or mass for causing neurological problems
also you can get done Fine needle aspiration cytology for tissue diagnosis of the swelling. Get investigated, as without that its difficult to say.
