Hi, Thanks for using Healthcaremagic, Dermatographic urticaria is one of the most common types of urticaria. It is not a life-threatening disease and is not contagious. In many cases cause is unknown and hence antihistaminic drugs there are many like cetirizine and fexofenadine they help to reduce itching. They may be combined with Ranitidine like drugs which means H1 and H2 blocker in combination. They can be continued for long periods. The condition may subside and be effectively cured in small number of cases. Please visit a good Dermatologist and get proper investigations like serum Ig E level and allergy testing. If any cause is detected then it may be treated . Stress must be avoided as far as possible. Hope this helps. Take care. Good Luck. Dr.Akhilesh Dubey M.D
