Have an MRI finding a tear of the body and posterior horn of the medial meniscus associated with a fragment of fibrocartilage flipped into the medial gutter. Low grade sprain is present. What is the treatment for this type of injury? Can it heal on its own or does this require surgery. I am a 52 year old 6'2" make weighing 200 pounds.
