Have Anorexia, Been Binge Eating. Anxiety And Fear For Sick Grandfather. How Can I Stop My Eating Habits?
Hi, So I was diagnosed with Anorexia ....but due to family issues (my grandfather whom is close to me, being very sick and pretty much dying) I have been binge eating ... And then feeling terrible after...And pretty much try not eating the next day. Sometimes I don t eat much, other times I binge eat due to stress , anxiety and fear for my grandpa...What I want to know, is how can I stop my ridiculous eating habits? I don t want to hate how I look anymore...It s just been a really tough time in my life...
Your eating disorder, which strictly speaking falls in the category of bulimia nervosa, requires a multidisciplinary, comprehensive approach. What I mean by this is that you need to consult a variety of clinicians for this problem, who can work together to help you overcome it. The two pivotal players who can help you are your primary care physician and a psychiatrist. Your primary care doctor can direct you to a good nutritionist who will go over a dietary plan tailored for your needs. Your doctor will also do tests to make sure this eating disorder hasn't caused damage to any of your organs, like your liver, kidney, heart. A psychiatrist will help you with counseling for the problem and also will help with your feelings of personal inadequacy and low self-esteem. I hope this helps guide you a bit. There is help out there if you look for it and seek it out. Feel better and best of health to you!
