Doctor suggested to take akt-3 for next 4 months. I asked suggestion about riding bike and going for Gym. He told that I can ride a bike but in gym you need to use only threadmiller. Still how many months should i continue the treatment and Can I do activities like lifting 1 KG dumples or 6 feet rods ? or is t not suggestable one and early morning i am getting pain in lower back right side. But doctor is suggesting it is not due to bone TB. Can I know the reason for this pain. Could you please suggest
This is just to enlighten you that Bony tuberculosis is a Pauci bacillary lesion (contains less number of TB bacilli in the lesion) when compared to the Pulmonary TB. So, a treatment regimen with 4 drugs for a period of 6-9 months is sufficient to eradicate bony tuberculosis.
The disease activity and the therapeutic response can be judged by ESR, C reactive protein estimation and xrays of the dorsal spine.
You should avoid forward bending till the vertebral bony architecture has returned to normal. Wearing of a Dorsolumbar spinal brace is recommended which will provide support to the vertebral column.
Your low back pain could possibly be due to muscle spasm. Use of Muscle relaxants like Thiocolchicoside (Myoril) for 2-3 days will resolve the pain & spasm. Moist heat fomentation will also help.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
