Have Borderline Diabetic And Blood Pressure. Taking Regular Medications. Developed Cough. Side Effects Of Medicines?

Hi my father a borderline diabetic and blood pressure. A month back gp prescribed pills other than regular ones he is on,to bring down the bp. Now these medicine has ,developed cough as side effect I presume ,and its there now for more than a month inspire of taking prescribed pills for cough. Please guide thank you manisha

If the medicine is ace inhibitor like enapril captopril ramipril there is a chance of devoloping dry cough.please tell me name of d medcine and whether he is suffering from dry cough ( without expectoration).In that case it is better to switch on arb group of anti htn rather than ace inhibitor.Besides that diabetic pt also have increased chance of devoloping respiratory tract infection ehich may also lead to cough.
