Have Broken Septate Hymen, Bleeding And Stings. How To Stop Bleeding? Prevent Infection?
I have a septate hymen that was broken in half during sexual intercourse about half a year ago. My hymen was left in two tube-like parts hanging out of my vagina, and today I decided to cut them on a whim. I snipped both of them off and now it is bleeding and stings a little bit. I cannot go to a doctor due to financial reasons; what can I do to prevent infection and make it stop bleeding?
Hello Thanks for your query. Of course, you know my answer. Any medical person would tell you that you need to see a doctor. If you do not see one, you run the risk of bleeding, infection, fibrosis, adhesions of the parts together etc. If you insist on not seeing one, knowing the risks, then I would say - FIrst apply some hot compresses till the bleeding stops. Then apply topical antibiotic cream / ointment such as Bacitracin ointment. Next, make sure you keep the area meticulously clean and dry and avoid intercourse for atleast a fortnight to let it heal. Again, see a doctor is the best choice. Take care.
