I have gone through your query regarding chest infection, pain in neck and chest. Though you are taking medicines but your pain is still there and you are in doubt weather it is the side effect of medicine or disease itself ?
In this connection I would like to say that it is basically because of your chest infection and most likely you have consolidation of lungs.
It will be better to remain in touch with your physician and get yourself investigated for diabetes and culture and sensitivity of sputum. At present you are in need of medical supervision to avoid complications.
Regards.
